How to Play
This is a working prototype of the GCPP Guppy proposal, a proposed Weaving puzzle for YPP.
The top row shows the colors of orders to be filled. The bottom row shows the dyes and sponges available. Click the Go button to activate mouse listening (make it black). Click a dye or sponge, then click a tile on the grid. Dye placed on the outermost row or column causes a penalty. Dyes and sponges change the colors of the tiles they touch in a predictable way.
Try to make large patches of the same color. Patches do not have to be rectangular.
Beads: Above level 1, making a large patch will sometimes trigger a bead to appear somewhere on the board. White Beads (stars) double the points from the patch they are in. If you place a bucket of dye on a tile next to a white bead, it will change color and shape (fire) and multiply the score for the patch that it is on by 4. Sponges will waste any bead they cover, and dye placed directly on a any bead will waste it. Dye placed on a tile next to a "fire" bead will waste it.
When you decide that the grid is as good as you can make it, click an order to be filled (top row). This gives you a pair of scissors in that color. Use the scissors to cut all your large patches of that color. Repeat until what remains of the grid is not enough to fill an order, then click the Get New Cloth button.
If you run out of dye and sponges before filling all the orders, you can either get new cloth or partially fill the remaining orders. Return the last pair of scissors to the order icon to end the game.
To change difficulty levels (or start a new game), use the Level slider to select a difficulty level, click Setup, then click Go.
